A note from the artist:
It fascinates me endlessly that plants can be so colourful, and this is a big reason that I fell in love with them a few years ago! I began collecting as many amazingly colourful ones as I could find.
The ruby rubber plant and all of its brilliant colours when exposed to a lot of sunlight became my favourite houseplant, and has inspired me so much that it has become the subject of more than one of my paintings!
As I get to watch it grow and change in my studio, I know that it will continue to inspire more paintings in the future.
